Daniel Rashbaum focuses his practice on white-collar criminal defense, internal investigations, regulatory enforcement, and qui tam litigation. He represents individuals and institutions in high-profile matters including those involving alleged violations of the federal securities and commodities laws, the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act, price-fixing, alleged violations of anti-bribery and anti-kickback statutes, insider trading, money laundering offenses, export violations, and fraud against health care benefit programs.

In Chambers USA, Dan is described as “a fierce defender of his clients.” Clients also said “he thinks on his feet like no attorney I have ever seen before” and “you can tell he enjoys the work, he enjoys the challenge, he enjoys the obstacle. That’s the guy you want representing you.”

It is with this energy and problem-solving ability that Dan has represented a countless number of individuals and companies around the globe in inquiries brought by agencies including the U.S. Department of Justice, the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission, the U.S. Office of the Comptroller of the Currency, the Financial Crimes Enforcement Network, the Office of Foreign Assets Control, and local United States Attorney’s Offices and State Attorney Generals’ offices.

Prior to MRP, Dan was a principal at a global law firm.  Before that, he served as an Assistant United States Attorney for the Southern District of Florida where he tried more than 30 cases to verdict, all of which resulted in convictions, and argued several cases before the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit. Dan began his career at Skadden, Arps and later worked at Morvillo, Abramowitz, Grand, Iason & Anello, P.C.

Dan was raised in Hollywood, Florida and graduated from Pine Crest School.
